The Fault in our Stars.

The fault in our stars? Lets talk about the faults in this book.
First let me start off by saying I've never read a John Green novel, and hats off to you sir. This book was fantastic. I absolutely loved it. I thought the introduction to the characters was amazing and you made me feel emotion, which i think is key as an author. This book will make you laugh and cry.
I was expecting Gus to die, i really was, but i was also really expecting Hazel to die as well, and i certainly think she should have. I really felt like John Green ended the book exactly like the book that Hazel loves, An Imperial Affliction. It left you wanting more. You don't know what happens to Hazel, just like Anna in An Imperial Affliction. You don't know what happens to her mother, or what happens to Isaac. You can only assume that Hazel dies, she does have incurable cancer.
I was also confused and upset that she never got her ending to the book, although after reading it, and i mean like a few hours later i finally realized that she did get her ending. It was based on the authors life and he told her what happened, the wife wasn't really his wife, and they split up, his daughter died at the age of 6 and how his daughters friend took the hamster. So i guess, she really did get her ending.
I also didn't like the ending. I mean, i could have liked it, i just thought they should have talked about her eulogy and the importance of it in the novel earlier on. I didn't get into it enough to realize that is was that big of a deal.
All in all, amazing book. I thought it was going to top my favourite, A Walk to Remember, (apparently cancer books are a thing i like) and in the beginning it certainly seemed like it might top it, but now I'm not so sure. A Walk to Remember made me cry, this book made me sad but not quite over the top with emotion. This is a book i would highly recommend and i can't wait to see the movie.
